Bringing your event to life

It was whilst working within the landscaping industry at a barn being converted into a  wedding venue that I came up with the concept of Cloudtree.

Whilst converted barns make amazing venues it struck me there was scope to decorate the large interiors of these buildings with trees.

Tall trees take  the decorated low spaces and elevate that  interest into those large higher spaces.

This in turn led to imagining how trees and foliage could help decorate the blank canvas of a marquee. - and if marquees, why not churches? And so the idea evolved.

It's taken some time to build the business up and make people aware that you can hire trees and the creative value that they bring.

Whilst it is predominately the job of  the florist to decorate weddings I think working alongside florists especially from the design stage is a great opportunity to create amazing  set ups.

The delivery and and collection cost is determined by numerous factors such as distance, access routes, and the amount of foliage you require, but for any event, we can deliver, position, and then collect your plants, leaving you to enjoy your special event.

The process

  • 1. Getting started

    An email with your date, venue and an outline of your requirements or ideas provides a good starting point.

  • 2. Decision making

    A picture price list of more popular items can then be sent to you which will help with your budget considerations.

  • 3. Viewing

    Coming to the nursery where we are based, seeing the trees and having a conversation about your event is always recommended this helps you get an idea of what might work for your event venue.

  • 4. Quote

    Once you have a rough idea of what you require we can send you a formal quote. This can be amended until you are happy.

  • 5. Payment

    Once you feel happy with the quote we ask for a £100 deposit and get the trees booked in. Final payment is usually required two weeks before the event.

FAQs

  • Very often viewings will be several months before an event and as these are living trees we can’t guarentee how they will look closer to the day. If we feel the tree isn’t up to standard we will find a similar replacement or contact you to offer an alternative.

  • Yes, we will we place the trees where you require them. But it’s always best to advise us prior to delivery if there are factors that may affect our ability to do this like distance from the venue, steps, venue access and vehicle access.

  • You’re free to move the trees in the venue but we generally do not move them between locations. But,this can be discussed when we are planning your event.

  • Our current rate is £40 plus £1.40 per mile from GU29 0PA to the venue. This includes half an hour set up time. This charge is then replicated for collection.

  • Please call us to discuss.

  • Once the trees are delivered on site they become the responsibility of the hirer. Trees that are damaged or stolen will be charged the wholesale cost of replacement.

  • No, but the fewer items you have the less cost effective it becomes for the delivery charge.
